Trim Solution – Semi-Permanent Trim Restoration

Trim Solution is a high-performance, semi-permanent trim restoration coating designed to bring faded exterior plastics back to a rich, like-new finish—without messy dyes or temporary dressings.

Using advanced coating technology, Trim Solution bonds to the surface to restore color while laying down a durable layer of protection. Its self-leveling formula helps create a smooth, even finish without streaking or patchiness when properly applied.

Unlike traditional trim dressings that can wash away after only a few weeks, Trim Solution provides long-term protection for up to 12 months, helping protect exterior plastics from UV exposure, oxidation, and environmental wear.

For additional depth and durability, additional layers may be applied after the previous coat has dried.

Surface Preparation – Important

Proper surface preparation is essential for the best appearance, bonding, and longevity.

Before applying Trim Solution, thoroughly clean the surface and remove all dirt, grime, oils, silicone, waxes, dressings, protectants, and previously applied products.

Many traditional trim and tire dressings contain silicone or oils that can remain on the surface even after normal washing. Any remaining residue may prevent Trim Solution from bonding properly and can cause uneven results or reduced durability.

Application Instructions

1. Thoroughly clean the surface.
2. Degrease as needed to remove old dressings, silicone, oils, and other contamination.
3. Make sure the surface is completely clean, dry, and residue-free before application.
4. Apply Trim Solution evenly using an appropriate applicator.
5. Allow the product to dry for at least 30 minutes before applying an additional layer.
6. For severely faded, oxidized, or sun-damaged plastics, multiple layers may be necessary to achieve the desired appearance.

Severely Weathered & Sun-Damaged Plastic

Trim Solution can dramatically improve the appearance of faded and weathered plastic, but results will vary depending on the condition of the surface.

Plastic that has experienced severe UV exposure, oxidation, or long-term sun damage may require multiple applications to restore a deeper, more uniform appearance. Allow at least 30 minutes between layers and build the finish gradually as needed.

In some cases, plastic may be permanently damaged or deteriorated beyond what a topical restoration product can restore. Trim Solution cannot reverse physical deterioration or structural damage to the plastic.

Important Application Notes

Do not apply Trim Solution over an oily, greasy, or previously dressed surface.

If Trim Solution comes into contact with paint or glass, wipe it off immediately to prevent residue.

Proper preparation and application are critical to achieving the best possible finish and maximum durability.
